My work

My name is Kolja Bailly, i work as a full stack software developer in the domain of cultural research at the TIB Hannover (Leibnitz-Institute). As part of my work field, i am utilizing semantic knowledge systems and AI to support cultural researchers.

The wiki project

The kungfu-wiki is a private project. Its development began 2018 when my former kungfu master died. It was previously planned as a collection of notes and terms about mantis kungfu to help me structure my own knowledge and preserve it from getting lost. During the process of development i realized the immense amount of unstructured data about that topic and searched for ways to handle it. That led me to the decision to use a semantic knowledge system (semantic mediawiki).

In the process of gathering information i had met other people who where interested in the same topic. As our previous kungfu associations prohibited an open knowledge exchange, we gathered together in a publich research group under the name "Key to Kungfu".
