TechniqueName: close (door), door, foot,

Men' means 'door' and is used often to name the opponents arms (guard). Closing door maybe refers here to the closing or tying action of binding the opponents arms together.

Jiao' means 'foot'. Some kicks are named 'Tui' (kick) or 'Ti Tui' (leg kick). This naming often means the common understanding of a kick with the extended leg. 'Jiao' is used often (but not always) for hooking actions with the foot or lower leg (Source: Falk Dictionary of martial arts)
