Step behind opponent's front leg. pull rear arm, push or hit with free hand to the lower rips or waist to make opponent stumble over your front leg.
may executed with the following foot methods:
1. with sliding step forward (shang bu) leading to a bow stance (gong bu), hard
2. Full step forward, following the opponent step leading to a seven star stance (qiXingBu)
3. If already in a mirror stance: switching from a deep forward stance (e.g. tun ta or gong bu) to a retreating stance (qixingBu) following the force of the opponent (soft).
The opponent's hand may be sealed at the hip (feng) or pulled outwards to support the push (引針 lead the needle, YinZheng). Pulling the needle offers also the opportunity to seal the opponent with one hand. If you pull his rear arm, you may trap his reararm under his front arm afterwards by pressing his front arm to his body. Thus you have a free hand to strike (e.g with circle strike).
