TechniqueName: enter yadering, collapsing strike, (cover, punch, )

"shuai lu"" in quan pu refers to the hard method ""shuai lu lian feng"". this is a principle of the ba gang fa (eight hard methods) shuai lu like in 懷德的摔捋硬崩 which is a part of th e18 family sonet. it means divide two points, a method to unbalance the opponent. (e.g push left below, push right above). Shuai lu means to wrestle (throw & pull)

"右掤捶 (you bing chui) - right cover strike"" from quan pu 42 contains the character bing (掤). This character is also used as name for the whole routine and in the quan pu intro its stated that this is the old character later used as beng. but within the technique names bing chui is used as well as beng chui in this quan pu. this could be an indicator to the different application. because bing also referes to ""A wrestling technique, to gather and pull on someone"" (falk dictionary of martial arts) which is exactly done in the application of this posture where the collapsing punch is written with bing instead of beng. Bing is an old term for the cover of an arrow quiver, to prevent the arrows falling out, it is assumed that the "cover" meaning is related to that. Compare to the term "gai" (gai ma san chui) which also means cover but relates to cover the lid of a tea pot to be safe from the heat and which is used to controled pressing down the opponent's hands/guard.
